Welcome to the world of Micropigmentation with our semi-permanent makeup artist, Elicia Clarke.

Starting back in April 2019 Elicia has been building her portfolio while training at “The Clinical Academy” in Portsmouth while also working on her level 4 accredited VTCT. We have had many happy clients receive treatment from Elicia feeling more confident with their look and return for other micropigmentation treatment in other areas of the face. Elicia is trained using digital machine to create hairstroke, powder and combination brows, top and bottom eyeliner, and full lip. Building her knowledge and expertise in this area Elicia is always looking for ladies and gentlemen who are wanting treatment, soon she will be advancing onto microblading, correction and removal, scalp micropigmentation, scar camouflage and areola for those who have had breast cancer to re-structure and give back normality.

This treatment is a form of permanent makeup application using digital machine to create the perfect brows, eyeliner, lip liner, lip liner and blush or even lip liner finished with a full lip colour. Pigment is applied directly into the dermal layer of the skin where it remains indefinitely for the perfect look as soon as you wake up all day every day! This amazing treatment has given confidence back to many ladies and gentlemen wanting to enhance their natural beauty, save time and money on cosmetics and everyday makeup routines, hide scars or re-establish what has been lost due to many reasons or conditions such as alopecia.

Anyone can have micropigmentation if you are 18 or above and pass our medical consultation which you can book for free! This will involve a patch test, discussing treatment wanted, colour, technique, shape, aftercare and any concerns or questions you may have. Elicia also takes into consideration your face shape, hair colour, skin tone and texture and will pre-draw a template to work from. Every treatment of semi-permanent is tailored to each individual client and no treatment is ever the same due to this. Results can be as natural or as dramatic as you wish.

The results fade gradually over 2-3 years, every 12-18 months we recommend having a touch up to re-enhance the colour and redefine the shape.

Treatment can last between 2-3 hours, to aid comfortability for the client Elicia does use a numbing agent which can be topped up throughout the treatment.

Elicia uses hypoallergenic, cruelty free and vegan pigments from the Permablend Range. Needles are used once per client and disposed of immediately after. Health and safety meet the local council standards and the European medical standards. We are fully insured and accredited. Patch tests can help ensure allergic reactions. If you have a severe metal allergy to nickel & iron oxide, then we cannot proceed with the procedure. You are also not treatable if you are:

  • Have a retinal detachment.
  • On Roaccutane/ Accutane for acne sufferers.
  • Suffer from keloid scarring.
  • Take Antabuse, anti-coagulants or steroids.
  • Are HIV positive.
  • Have Lupus.

Your treated area will take four weeks to heal following this process;

WEEK 1 (HEAL) – The enhancement begins to heal forming a light crust.

WEEK 2 (PEEL) – The crust begins to dry out and flake away.

WEEK 3 (FADE) – The new skin underneath looks light and faded.

WEEK 4 (RESULT) – The new skin heals and clarifies, and you begin to see the healed result.

As being the one who received the treatment it is your responsibility to look after the healing skin once you leave the salon.

  • Do not pick, scratch or rub the scabbing.
  • Apply aftercare balm when directed to do so by your therapist.
  • Avoid direct sunlight for a week after treatment
  • Do not put makeup over the treated area for four weeks until healed fully.
  • Do not get the area wet for 5 days after treatment.

If you do not follow these steps they can cause unevenness to your micropigmentation, colour loss, scarring and migration to the pigment causing it to move under the skin. It is imperative that you follow the aftercare that is given to you from Elicia.
